匠の技

制作者　下山黄道　DESIGNER Kodo Shimoyama

建築業の傍ら、芸術家として「木彫り」の技術を習得。鶴や孔雀の様々な感情表現の姿を、独自の技術を用いて創作し、日常生活に和の文化を残そうと活動している。その技術は意匠登録され、「黄道」のみの技術として日本唯一のものである。

Besides managing a construction company and being a carpenter, kodo is an artist who mastered old japanese
wood carving, He expresses various figures of
crane and peafowl which is a symbol of happiness
and longevity of life with
the unique skill that he invented and that is registered.

出身 Birth Place	台東区（下谷区三ノ輪）出身駒込高校卆 Taito-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

昭和39年より現在地で一般建築木材販売で開業。
後年一般木材住宅建売、寺院、倉庫、店舗、アパート、貸家等平成23年度現在累計470棟の建築、木材建築に於いては無垢材木を基調に桧四寸角使用早期より施工。自製品は建具、欄間、クローゼット等の創意工夫して建築物に導入。社長自らが鎌倉彫り、木彫り、能面、杉戸絵を制作。
